1. The Romanian fintech Finqware announces the oversubscription of the investment offer on the Seedblink investment platform. The investment target of €450K was exceeded by an investment commitment of €510K (link).

2. Parol, a Romanian startup which develops an end-to-end technology that helps doctors and medical clinics provide better care to patients, saving time by taking over part of the administrative tasks, has received a pre-seed investment worth €450K led by The Mavers Ventures (link).

3. Cărturești bookstores join AudioTribe, a Romanian platform with audiobooks in Romanian and English. One year after the launch of the project, the bookstore network invested €450K in the startup (link).

4. Romanian retailer evoMAG attracts a €2M investment from Catalyst Romania, one of the most important venture capital funds in the region, in an effort to support the accelerated development of the company (link).

5. OxidOS, a Romanian deep-tech startup for the automotive industry, has completed a seed investment round of €1.2M. The round was led by Early Game Ventures and joined by a number of private investors (link).

6. SeedBlink, the Romanian co-investment platform in tech startups, announced that it has completed the acquisition of the Dutch Symbid, one of the world’s first investment crowdfunding platforms. The deal is set to accelerate SeedBlink’s coverage as a pan-European player, broadening its geographic footprint in the CEE and Benelux, and its mission to consolidate and build the equity investment infrastructure for European tech companies at all stages (link).

7. InnovX-BCR is preparing the group for the Scaleups, an accelerator dedicated to companies that already have activity and revenue, but can grow more in international markets (link).

8. GoTech World, one of the largest IT & Digital events in CEE, reaches its 11th edition this year. After two years of being held online, the event will take place this year in physical format, between 3-4 November, in Bucharest (link).

9. Black Sea ClimAccelerator, an accelerator in Romania and Bulgaria dedicated to green startups, has selected the first 16 finalists, from the Early Stage category. The program continues with the opening of applications for Romanian green startups in the process of development and scaling (link).

10. Open Banking Hackathon – CEE Edition is preparing its fourth edition of the innovation challenge competition. The hybrid event will be held between 26-30 September and will involve important resources from Central and Eastern Europe, interested in pushing fintech innovation (link).

11. Freshful adds a new functionality to their app named Scan Barcode, through which customers can scan with their phone the barcodes of their favorite products that they want to order again (link). 

12. The Romanian cryptocurrency exchange TOKERO ended the year with a turnover of €2.5M, traded volumes of €75M and a valuation of €15M. This way, the startup now becomes a scaleup (link).

13. BaseLinker and Postis announced the launch of a strategic partnership through which they integrate their platforms for a simple and fast access of Romanian merchants to international markets (link).

14. Tailent, the Romanian technology company known for democratizing access to RPA solutions, and PowerNet Consulting, a player with experience in digitization and mobility solutions, concluded a partnership for the development of software robots and integrated solutions of digitization and automation for companies (link).
